10 types of gazebos anyone would want in their garden
A wooden gazebo is ideal if you don't have a patio or want to create your own relaxing oasis in the garden. From early spring until late autumn you'll be spending time in it, so it should have the design and functionality that best suits your garden's ambience and your leisure preferences.
By shape
Gazebos can be hexagonal, octagonal, square or round, depending on the design of the house and garden. These are the classic gazebo shapes, but there may also be some more unusual types, such as the amphitheatre-shaped one where you can place a fire pit in the centre if you are a bonfire enthusiast, or the snail-shaped one if you want to better compartmentalise the space.
By utilities
For those who prefer to spend time cooking outdoors, gazebos can accommodate kitchen utilities. There are also gazebos that include a fireplace which gives a romantic feel to the place and is a viable source for your own heating or for preparing light meals. Or, if you have a more generous space and your budget allows, you can add a pool next to your open gazebo.
By type of opening
Fireplaces also provide protection from rain and wind in case such weather catches you by surprise in summer. However, some protect better than others. In the closed gazebos you can continue the party regardless of the weather outside, the semi-closed ones protect you from the wind but allow you to connect with nature through the open wall, and in the elegant open gazebos you will spend beautiful days in nature, protected from the strong sun or light rain.
